Terms of Service
Last updated: 1st September 2026
Welcome to candidstudio.co.uk. These terms cover how you use this website. They're not the terms that cover design or photography projects — those live in a separate agreement you'll receive before any work starts. See Enquiries and project work below.
By using this site, you're agreeing to what follows. If you don't agree with it, please don't use the site.
Who runs this site
Rebecca Lloyd, Candid Studio, 14, CF382HQ, hello@candidstudio.co.uk
Candid Studio is run by Rebecca Lloyd, offering graphic design, branding, web design and brand photography to small businesses.
These terms can change
I'll update this page as the business changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms, so it's worth a glance if you're a regular visitor.
Using the site
You're welcome to browse, read, share links and get in touch. That's what it's for.
You agree not to:
Use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
Copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute any part of it for commercial purposes without my written permission.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system.
Introduce viruses, malware or anything else designed to cause damage.
Use automated systems — bots, scrapers, crawlers — to harvest content, images or contact details from the site, except for legitimate search engine indexing.
Use the site or its contents to train, fine-tune or develop machine learning or AI systems. I expressly reserve all rights in relation to text and data mining.
If you break these terms, I may restrict your access to the site.
Intellectual property
Everything on this site — the design, layout, code, written content, logos, illustrations and photography — belongs to Candid Studio or is used under licence, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property law.
Photography. All images on this site are original work and remain my copyright unless credited otherwise. Downloading, reposting, editing or reusing them without written permission isn't on. That includes using them on social media, in mood boards you share publicly, or in AI training datasets.
Client work in the portfolio. Project work shown here is displayed with the client's agreement. Logos, brand marks and product images belonging to clients remain their property and are shown for illustrative purposes only.
What you can do without asking: link to any page on this site, share a post on social media using the built-in share options, or quote a short extract from a blog post with clear credit and a link back.
Everything else: email me. I'm generally happy to say yes if you ask.
Enquiries and project work
Getting in touch through the contact form, booking a call or receiving a quote does not create a contract. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and prices shown are indicative.
Design and photography work is governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, fees, timelines, revisions, cancellation, ownership of the final work and everything else that actually matters on a project. That agreement takes precedence over these terms for anything project-related.
I reserve the right to decline any enquiry.
Newsletter
You can subscribe to my newsletter through the site. It's opt-in, you'll be asked to confirm your subscription by email, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
How I handle your details is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Blog and content
Blog posts, guides and resources on this site are general information about branding, design and running a small business. They're written in good faith but they're not professional advice tailored to your situation, and they shouldn't be relied on as such.
Any decisions you make based on something you read here are yours. If it's a significant business, legal or financial decision, please speak to someone qualified in that field.
Content is accurate at the time of writing. Things move on — particularly anything about platforms, tools or search — and I don't guarantee that older posts stay current.
Availability
I aim to keep the site up and running, but I don't guarantee it. Access may be suspended, withdrawn or restricted at any time, including for maintenance or reasons outside my control.
The site is provided "as is". I don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.
Links to other sites
Where I link to third-party websites, it's because I think they're useful. It isn't an endorsement, and I have no control over their content, availability or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited.
Subject to that:
I'm not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site.
I'm not liable for any business loss — including loss of profit, revenue, contracts, data, goodwill or anticipated savings — arising from your use of the site.
If you're a consumer rather than a business, this site is provided for domestic and private use only, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
Privacy and cookies
How I collect and use personal information is covered in the Privacy Policy. How the site uses cookies is covered in [the Privacy Policy / the Cookie Policy].
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
